Planning my future

I’ve never really been good at putting together a roadmap of what my next 5 or 10 years might look like.  The version of me that I want to be in 5 years is one who has taken advantage of whatever interesting opportunities have come my way.  I tend to be a bit like a [...]

Hackey sack

My entire site has been hacked, and it’s going to take a little while to clean up everything, so please be patient while I make sure that everything is safe for you.  I didn’t realize the full extent of it until I started poking around, but even my gallery and the home page for the [...]

It’s (almost) Firefox day!

Ok, I admit that I’m a little late in jumping on the excitement bandwagon on this one, because I didn’t know that release day is tomorrow, but it’s Firefox 3 day tomorrow!  Version 3 of the vastly-superior-to-Internet-Explorer web browser is released tomorrow.  It’s been through a lot of beta testing (meaning less new release bugs), [...]

Power grids and my heart

Three things:

I heard on the news that the Chicago power grid was reduced by 7% on Saturday night during Earth Hour.  Well done, Chicagoans!
My blog has been spam-tastic recently, I don’t know what’s up with that.  So when you log in and see all the nasty spam in the recent comments section, please ignore it.  [...]

http://del.icio.us/crabbylisa
When you go there, you will see all the articles I have saved in a type of web bookmark.  As I add articles, I provide my own [...]

YouTube video about Macs

Ok, this seriously almost made me pee in my pants.  I have a Mac, and while I’m normally really happy with it, I’ve had a few problems like the ones described in this video.  If you’re not a Mac person, you probably won’t find it that funny.

Prescription & a rental?

Walgreens is doing a pilot test with Redbox, a service that offers kiosks for DVD rentals.  Rentals are only $1 a night.  It’s a pretty sweet deal, we have one in our building.  They charge us $1 a night, and $2 for the weekend (rent on Friday, return on Monday).  Definitely beats Blockbuster, and you [...]
