I was conversing with someone today about the disgusting nature of black licorice, and he posed the hypothesis that the people in this world who like black licorice are also fans of other nasty things like burnt toast. After I stopped laughing (Mom - I’m looking at you), I posted a poll on the right [...]

Earth hour - Saturday night
Earth hour is from 8:00 - 9:00pm on Saturday night, March 29th. What is it? Everyone turns off their power for an hour. They did this successfully in Australia last year (I think) and it saved 10% of the power grid electricity and a crap ton of carbon dioxide. That’s pretty amazing.Â
I’ve signed up, will [...]
Awesome pork chop recipe
I’m not even kidding - this recipe is seriously delicious. It’s for Rosemary Pork Chops - you can get the full recipe here, but this is a quick overview:

Note to MLB
I just read this article about Major League Baseball trying to limit how people can cover their games in blogs: there are time limits for photos, and other strange limitations.Â

They’re going to make Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows into two movies!! They’re supposed to be released within 6 months of each other, in November 2010 and May 2011. Awesome! I’m glad they decided to do this, especially after knowing how much they had to chop up Order of the Phoenix to make it [...]
My Lenten reflection
I guess you could say that I’m going through a time of spiritual crisis. By that, I mean that I’ve come to realize that I’ve been living in survival mode for awhile now. I do what it takes to get me to, through and home from work, and don’t have the energy for much else. [...]
Don’t forget to change your clocks
We get robbed of an hour of sleep on Saturday night/Sunday morning. Don’t forget to change your clocks.
Anyone up for an Idol pool?
12 people can enter, $10 a person, and once we fill up the spots (it must be before Tuesday), then everyone gets the name of one contestant. $10 if your person finishes in 3rd, $30 for 2nd, and $80 for 1st. Tempting?
American Idol: Top 8 guys
Ok, I’m not doing the full recap this time, I just wanted to give my thoughts. First, David Cook is still my favorite, he has been since the top 24 started. I just love his voice, and I think he’s a great performer. Way to rock out the Lionel.
Jason Castro covered what is also one [...]
Windows Vista service pack coming
InformationWeek has provided some tips for installing Service Pack 1 onto Windows Vista. It’s due out this month, and is supposed to improve security and performance. Those of you with Vista know about the painfully slow start-up time, this pack is supposed to help that. Hooray!
