InformationWeek has provided some tips for installing Service Pack 1 onto Windows Vista. It’s due out this month, and is supposed to improve security and performance. Those of you with Vista know about the painfully slow start-up time, this pack is supposed to help that. Hooray!

Yay indeed! Though, since a couple of months after I bought Vista (and was experiencing all sorts of problems), I’ve had relatively few problems. The system seems to run smoothly. Still, for a computer with 4 gigs of ram and 2.2 ghz processing speed, the thing should run like a scalded dog.
But it doesn’t.
