Ok, now that I’ve cleared off all the riff-raff, let’s talk. What did you think of the book? Were you satisfied with it? Were you disappointed in anything? What was your favorite part?
I’ll start - I loved the stuff with Snape’s backstory (finally!) at the end via his memories. I was totally bummed that he died the way he did, but I think we all kind of figured that would happen. I loved that he and Lily were so close (I got a little misty when he said we’re best friends), and the love he still had for her played a big part in the protective force of love that Dumbledore always told him about, in my opinion. Loved that his last words to Harry were “look at me” so that he could see Lily’s eyes one last time. I wish there would have been more insight into Snape’s reign as headmaster though - I’m sure there was some comic gold in there somewhere.Â
